We have used these books for over 25 years now while working in archaeology, these have the added advantage of being able to be folded over and also the hardback gives a solid writing surface.  

The pages are perforated to allow a 'clean cut' page to be removed - while the wire binding allows the complete removal of a page.

We use these in all conditions and the hardback is a real benefit for recording in the field.
